According to <https://thewhistlegallery.com/spotlight/090-slazenger-escargots>, the name "Slazenger & Sons" was introduced in 1876. That article also states that the company was founded in 1881 by brothers Ralph and Albert Slazenger. The company was sold to Dunlop Rubber in 1959.
